Company Announcement - The 1st week of Tourism Month in South Africa saw the birth of what has been described as a ‘future industry leader and player, in Centurion, Pretoria yesterday. Over 80 high-level stakeholders from the corporate and tourism industries witnessed the launch of Fusion Travel & Tours. Fusion Travel & Tours came about as a result of a merger of ExecuPlaytime Leisure & Travel and Flight Specials. Communications and Marketing Director of the new company, Fusion Travel & Tours, Mr Thabiso ‘Tabs’ Magodielo said “ Twenty-one-Years into South Africa’s much celebrated and cherished democracy, the winds of change are blowing across the land, and ExecuPlaytime Leisure & Travel and Flight Specials have felt and embraced the need for change.

In affirming the change that was inevitable, Mr Magodielo related a story that belongs to the too distant past saying “dinosaurs are extinct today because of their failure to adapt when the universe dictated that time for change had come.” The combined new company is 100% women owned, with 51% black shareholding and 49% white shareholding. He added: “The two decided to join forces to create an entity geared to service the needs of a changing environment. The two recognized that the time had come to get on the wave, and allow the wind to propel them gently into the future. “

Speaking at the event Tourism South Africa Country Manager, Debbie Damant welcomed the new player in the market saying, “South Africans live and play in one of the most beautiful countries in the world and there is enough space for more players to come on board, but they should have a strong vision and commitment to excellence.” “We want to support and celebrate the fact that there are businesses out there like Fusion Travel & Tours. We are celebrating today because we have come together for the good of tourism in this country, ‘’she said, adding that government has invested over 100 million to give the tourism sector a much needed boost.” “I would like to congratulate this new company for this amazing partnership which will contribute towards building the tourism economy,’ she concluded
