Following the establishment of its engineering centre in Glasgow earlier this year, engineering and project services company Clough, which is a subsidiary of Murray & Roberts, recently announced the acquisition of privately-owned Scotland-based engineering services company Booth Welsh for £9-million.

Booth Welsh specialises in the provision of electrical, instrumentation and automation design, process consultancy, project management, implementation and commissioning services, servicing clients in the oil and gas, life sciences, petrochemicals, chemicals, nuclear, utilities and food and beverage industries.

Clough CEO and MD Kevin Gallagher said the acquisition would bring complementary skills and significantly strengthen the group’s service offering.

“Booth Welsh will become a centre for highly specialised electrical, instrumentation and automation design

,” Gallagher said in a statement released last week.
