Mozabmbique Investment Summit  (0.03 MB)

Foreign investment into Mozambique is driving its economic growth. Predicted by the Economist as one of the top 10 fastest growing economies in 2013, the country is offering the potential of high returns for investors.

Large natural resource deposits from coal to gas are driving growth in sectors like real estate and infrastructure. With recent high profile losses for Mozambican projects, the question on all investors' minds is how can the risks here be mitigated and returns maximised?

H.E. Salvador Namburete, Minister of Energy will be joined by H.E. Amélia Nakhare, Deputy Minister of Planning and Development, and Hon. Deputy Minister Manuela Rebel from Ministry of Transport and Communications along with investors, mining companies, gas producers, real estate firms and other major players at the inaugural Mozambique Investment Summit in London. (4th - 7th November).

"The London summit on investment in Mozambique is a unique opportunity to share the Mozambique development vision internationally, focusing on the efforts undertaken by the Government in consolidating the socio-economic development, as well as, constitutes a space to exchange experiences and best practices related to business environment improvement and business links, which will contribute to create effective entrepreneurial partnerships, taking in account the specific investment opportunities that will be shared."- H.E. Amélia Nakhare, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Planning and Development, Republic of Mozambique

Key presentations to take place at the gathering include:

- H.E. Amélia Nakhare- Examining long term strategies: how should
Mozambique assure long term sustainable growth?
- H.E. Salvador Namburete - how will the government improve access to energy in
the long term: what will this mean for international investors?
- Hon. Manuela Rebelo - Examining government strategies for infrastructure
development: examining how plans will be achieved

Officially supported by Centro de Promoção de Investimentos (CPI) and partnered with Mines and Money, the gathering will be a key place for local and international companies and investors.
