The Mengo project is a 1.2-million-tonne-a-year greenfield potash project under construction in the Republic of Congo.  The facility is expected to be one of the world’s lowest-cost producers, owing to its highly efficient solution mining technologies, access to natural gas and its proximity to planned new port facilities and its principal markets.

Latest Developments
MagIndustries has signed a construction engineering supervision contract with Changsha Huaxing Construction Supervision Co (CHCS) to supervise engineering work related to the Mengo project.

CHCS will supervise engineering work on the seven major work modules and 38 installations/systems of the project.

The seven major modules are brine extraction and transportation, the processing plant, the compaction plant, the thermal power plant, the office/living quarters, the off-plant works and the loading jetty.

Meanwhile, MagIndustries has entered into a framework agreement with East China Engineering Science & Technology Co (ECEC).  Under the contract, ECEC will provide a range of services related to the planning, construction and performance of the proposed project.
