Critical minerals explorer Maxus Mining has earned a 100% interest in the Alturas West property, consolidating full ownership of its flagship Alturas antimony project in British Columbia.

The company said on Thursday it had met all obligations under its option agreement with Eminence Minerals, including the accelerated issuance of consideration shares, giving it full legal and beneficial ownership of the asset.

Alturas West forms part of the Alturas project, located in the historic Slocan mining district and encompassing the past-producing Alps-Alturas antimony mine. The operation historically produced more than 95 t of antimony at an average grade of 57.2% antimony, with reported grades reaching up to 59.5%.

The project hosts a 1 300 m mineralised corridor characterised by quartz veins containing stibnite mineralisation within a structurally controlled shear zone. Recent sampling has also returned high-grade antimony values, supporting its potential as a critical minerals asset.

“We are very pleased to have completed the acquisition of a 100% interest in Alturas West, a key component of our flagship Alturas antimony project,” CEO Scott Walters said.

“This milestone strengthens our position in the antimony sector and provides us with full control to advance exploration and development across the project.”

With ownership now consolidated, Maxus said it would advance permitting and regulatory work, integrate geological datasets into a three-dimensional model, and refine high-priority drill targets across both the Alturas West and East claim blocks.
