AusIMM and Murdoch University are once again bringing together the best and brightest minds at the Lithium, Battery and Energy Metals Conference in Perth and online from September 14-15 2022.

Delegates will hear first-hand the latest research and innovative technologies in lithium and battery metals. As with previous events, the 2022 program will feature leading commodity and technology experts, insights from government representatives, plus the opportunity to network with over 200 people over two days.

Themes to be explored at the 2022 event will include exploration and geology; battery minerals and brines; mineralogy and metallurgical processing; economics and attracting project financing and investments; batteries, capacitors, energy storage; and environmental, social and governance.

AusIMM CEO Stephen Durkin said that our lithium and battery metals are a vital resource in an increasingly complex global market, and play an important role in our own supply chain and domestic industry.

“There are substantial opportunities, substantial global interest and significant challenges for us to address to make the most out of our lithium and battery metals industry – and they are all contingent on professional leadership. This is a message conveyed by our members at last year’s conference, where we launched our Lithium and Battery Metals Policy Paper with the Western Australian Government and US Consul in Perth,” said Mr Durkin.

“The Lithium and Battery Metals Conference is a vital strategic forum to share best practice and discuss emerging opportunities in this ever more critical arena.  We are thrilled to again be partnering Murdoch University to lead the conversation.”

AusIMM’s Lithium, Battery and Energy Metals Conference will offer a huge range of knowledge exchange, from live and on-demand technical presentations and panel discussions, a full trade exhibition and virtual booths, plus face-to-face networking functions and hybrid virtual meetings and discussion groups.

As the conference is being held in a hybrid format in Perth and online, you have the opportunity to explore one of the world’s great mining cities in September, or gain world class knowledge virtually from your office, home or while on-site.

For those looking to showcase their work at the conference, abstract submissions are due by Tuesday, 19 April. #Lithium2022 will be the perfect platform in elevating your findings and sharing knowledge and research with global experts and industry professionals.
