Kropz CEO, COO agree to stay on until successors appointed
Emerging African phosphate producer and developer Kropz reports that outgoing CEO Mark Summers and COO Michelle Lawrence have agreed to remain in their positions until the company concludes a recruitment process for their successors.
Summers, who announced his resignation on July 20, and Lawrence agreed under short-term consulting agreements to stay with Kropz to assist with a handover to a new CEO and ensure continuity of the operations across the company.
The Kropz board has identified and is in the process of engaging with a potential candidate to take over the role of CEO and executive director of Kropz and its subsidiaries – an endeavour it plans to finalise by early January 2023.
Meanwhile, Kropz reports that progress is also being made regarding the first bulk concentrate sale of 30 000 t from the Kropz Elandsfontein operation in South Africa, is expected to ship in early 2023.
The product, which has been generated throughout the commissioning and ramp-up period, will be sold at a discount to current market prices.
