A discount of up to half price is giving Komatsu customers the opportunity to experience the benefits of the company’s genuine undercarriage compared with aftermarket products. An undercarriage assembly and components discount of up to 50% is currently available to Komatsu customers until the end of January 2017. This discount bridges the price gap between Komatsu genuine and third-party aftermarket undercarriage assemblies and components.

The promotion applies to rollers, idlers, sprockets, track links, grousers and hardware for 27 Komatsu excavators and dozers. According to Komatsu OEM Products Group Business Manager Stuart Moffitt, with tested and proven greater hardness depth than aftermarket offerings, genuine Komatsu undercarriage components have a longer component life.

This increased life means fewer replacements throughout the machine’s life, cutting the total cost of parts and labour and minimising downtime, he said Genuine components also received the reassurance and support delivered by OEM products and, when combined with regular undercarriage inspections, offer significant cost savings to businesses. Moffitt said the discount was aimed at giving customers the opportunity to see the benefit of genuine undercarriage components for themselves. “Once you go genuine, you stay genuine,” he said. “Komatsu genuine parts deliver a reduced cost over the life of a machine, and I am pleased our customers will have the opportunity to discover this on their own terms.

“Labour and downtime are major costs for businesses of any size, and Komatsu OEM parts manage and reduce these costs. “This promotion on undercarriage assembly and components will help our customers understand and experience the difference for themselves.” Owners and operators have until the end of January 2017 to purchase the discounted undercarriage components from their local Komatsu Australia branch.
