Ingeteam will be present at South Africa's largest solar energy trade fair
Ingeteam solar inverters in South Africa reach 160 MW installed power. Ingeteam has had a subsidiary in South Africa for over two years now.
Ingeteam will be present at Stand G8 at the Power & Electricity World Africa fair to be held on the 11th and 12th of March at the Sandton conventions centre in Johannesburg. The company opened a subsidiary in 2011 in Midrand and has already reached the figure of 160 MW, being installed now in three PV plants in the country. The Ingeteam inverters were selected for 38% of the total power awarded (417 MW) in the second round of tenders for PV plants.
At this edition of Power & Electricity World Africa, Ingeteam is to present its 1MW Ingecon Sun Power Max inverter, which is the one installed in the three South African plants equipped by Ingeteam. The new Ingecon Sun 1Play and 3Play, intended for the domestic and commercial sectors respectively, are also to be showcased. In the area of hybrid systems, Ingeteam will present its Ingecon Hybrid AC Link inverter for stand-alone systems and micro-grids, and its Diesel-PV solution directed at reducing fuel consumption in diesel grids.
Finally, Ingeteam will also exhibit its Ingerev City electric vehicle charging station, the same as the one installed outside its office door in Midrand, for public use. Although Ingeteam's South African subsidiary is basically dedicated to the sale, operation and maintenance of power converters for the renewable energy sector (photovoltaic and wind power), the company also operates in the area of railway traction and the automation of the electricity grid. The subsidiary occupies a surface area of 540 m2 distributed between offices, showrooms and test benches.
