Hexagon Mining today opens MineQuest 2016, its global user event series, in Tucson, Arizona, USA. Shaping the Digital Mine is the theme of the event and featured prominently in President, Hélio Samora’s opening address to attendees. “Shaping the Digital Mine embodies our goal of creating safer, more productive mines,” said Samora. “We see the digital mine as integrating data and processes, informing and empowering people to make intelligent decisions, no matter their location in a mine.

“Hexagon Mining is working to achieve the digital mine by connecting planning, operations, and safety in real-time.”

The vision of a digital mine will be delivered throughout this week via a dynamic mix of presentations, workshops, demos, and consultation. Clients will present first-hand accounts of Hexagon Mining technology in the field, providing real-life examples of how the company‘s solutions are improving performance, simplifying workflows, protecting mine equipment, and saving lives.

MineQuest’s tradeshow component, The Zone, will feature the latest integration of Hexagon’s survey and measurement solutions, particularly as they relate to slope monitoring. Today, the company also launched its consolidated Services organization, built on the pillars of deployment, training, and consulting.

MineQuest continues in Perth, Australia (June 20-22), Swakopmund, Namibia (June 22-24), Santiago, Chile (Aug. 8-10), Lima, Peru (Aug. 10-12), and Hermosillo, Mexico (Aug. 15-17). Hexagon Mining will also join HxGN LIVE, Hexagon’s annual international conference, in Anaheim, California (June 13-16), and the quadrennial MINExpo in Las Vegas, Sept. 26-28.
