Hapman, a globally-respected manufacturer of industrial conveyors and bulk material handling equipment, announced its upcoming participation in the 2014 Sulphur World Symposium, an annual event that attracts sulphur industry leaders for two days of expert speakers, networking events, and industry tours. For over 50 years, The Sulphur Institute has been hosting an industry symposium and is projecting record-breaking attendance at this year's event in Long Beach, California, USA.
“This is our first year attending the Sulphur World Symposium, and we’re very proud to be a part of this event,” said Jim Hughes, Hapman’s National Sales Manager. “Hapman’s En-Masse Drag Conveyor and the Tubular Drag Conveyor are used in sulphur processing to effectively move primary and secondary materials from rail car unloading through bag filling. Our engineering experts are very familiar with wide range of material flow characteristics used in sulfur processing and ancillary manufacturing processes. Which is why we’re looking forward to the opportunity to exchange ideas and solutions with other leaders in the industry.”
Processing sulphur presents unique challenges, including its high-abrasive nature and corrosive properties. Hapman conveyors are engineered to handle these strenuous conditions and offer proven performance and dependability in this industry. These durable, fully-enclosed conveyors allow sulphur processors to convey on multiple planes and over long distances, yet at the same time protect the environment and worker safety while also preventing loss of material. Designed for 24/7 operation in harsh environments, Hapman’s Tubular Drag and En-Masse Drag conveyors offer low energy consumption, mitigate explosion risk by eliminating hazardous dust during conveying, and are excellent for unloading large volumes of material from railcars, ships or trucks.
Material Handling Expertise Backed by 60 Years of Experience
Henry Hapman invented the Tubular Drag concept in 1945. The breakthrough technology is still widely used today because of the strong material movement advantages and system layout flexibility. The totally enclosed conveying systems allow materials to be moved over long distances, over multiple planes, and through infrastructure. The chain and flight design are engineered for the material and flow rate of each application. The versatile conveying design provides long-life with minimal maintenance while also moving material without degradation or separation.
Hapman has also harnessed the power of the En-Masse conveying principle. This type of conveyor moves up to 1,000 TPH with a single conveyor while maintaining a small footprint. The En-Masse conveyor is ideal for minerals processing because of the ability to effectively move material in a wet or dry state in a completely enclosed in a casing of heavy-duty AR plate. Its rugged construction is capable of reliable operation even at temperatures reaching 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Material is moved by Hapman’s industry-exclusive drop forged, case hardened chain, offering long-life even in harsh operating environments.
Hapman has the broadest line of conveyors and material handling equipment in the industry. The breadth of equipment offering stems from the decades of helping industry move and process bulk material quickly, safely and effectively.
