First-time exhibitor aims to create strong communications base in West Africa
FRANCESCO PAGIN Fluke customers mostly rely on the Internet for information about product and service options and availability
US-based test and measurement tools manufacturer and distributor Fluke Corporation says it wants to use its presence at this year’s West African International Mining and Power Exhibition, which will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre, in Ghana, from May 28 to 30, to create a strong communications base with its West African consumers.
Fluke Corporation provides products and services ranging from industrial installation, maintenance of electrical systems, precision measurement and quality-control systems. The company’s clientele includes technicians, engineers and metrologists, medical-device manufacturers and computer network professionals, says company industrial test tools regional sales manager for sub-Saharan Africa Francesco Pagin.
“During my trips to West Africa over the last few years, I have noticed that most of our customers learn about product options and availability from the Web. However, one’s level of confidence in any information that has been acquired from the Web, with no additional information from other sources, is always limited.
“With this in mind, Fluke Corporation wants to make it easy for our clients to access information about our products and services, and for this information to be locally supported. We thereby want to extend the interest of our West African customers to include new solutions that have only been adopted in developed markets.
“Our presence at Wampex, therefore, functions to increase local customers’ confidence in our brand,” explains Pagin.
He adds that this will be Fluke Corporation’s first appearance at Wampex and that the company will exhibit its new Fluke TI400 thermal imaging camera.
“We are hoping that, during the three days of the gathering, global decision-makers from the mining and power industries will see how our products work and how the products can help make their core businesses perform better.
“I look forward to interacting with as many technicians and engineers as possible, as Fluke can help introduce alternative technological innovations and advancements in their field,” concludes Pagin.
