Doors open at 10am for the final day of West Africa’s biggest mining and power show in Ghana today. Hundreds of people have already visited WAMPEX 2016 at the Accra International Conference Centre where some of the world’s best suppliers are meeting potential customers.

The Ghana Chamber of Mines will also hold its AGM at the conference centre later today. The first two days of this three-day show were held alongside the West Africa Mining & Power Conference, which attracted delegates and key government ministers from across Africa. “We are looking forward another successful day at WAMPEX, which has seen exhibitors meeting high-quality visitors and doing good business in Accra,” said Christine Davidson, Vice President of dmg-ems Africa, co-organiser of the show.

Visitors have been positive about their experience at WAMPEX and WAMPOC 2016. “Attending WAMPEX was an awesome experience - I really enjoyed it and I will certainly be there during the next event,” said Frank Wormekpor, Manager, Rick Ban Mining Services. “Thanks for your warm and wonderful support.” The two-day conference attracted key speakers from around the world. “ The event is great and the speeches are of good quality,“ said Hans de Beer, VP Projects & Head of Engineering, Gold Fields.

Exhibitors have been attracted from around the world and include tyre manufacturers from India, looking to supply the West African market, generator suppliers from Turkey and a leading grinding ball manufacturer from the UK.
