Engen, South Africa’s leading petroleum brand*, and their football partner SuperSport United are set to visit Umlazi Comtech School in Durban on Thursday, 13 October 2016 to conduct coaching clinics and hand over much needed football kit and equipment.
A contingent of ten SuperSport United Academy coaches, headed by current United under-17 coach and former Bafana Bafana star Ricardo Katza, will be at the school to conduct the coaching clinics from 13h30. SuperSport United Ambassadors Jabu Mahlangu and Thabo September will also be in attendance at the school to conduct motivational talks with the students.
Brad Bergh, Engen’s Group Sponsorship Manager, said the visit to the school underlines Engen’s commitment to providing a platform for young footballers to improve on their skill set in the sport. “A coaching clinics such as this is a stepping stone for many young players to hone their skill so that one day they may grace the playing fields of the PSL. We are proud to be a part of the development of these young people on and off the field,” said Bergh.
“Engen’s cares about the communities in which it operates and strongly believes in the power of football to uplift and inspire the youth of Umlazi,” added Bergh.
