Endeavour announces board change
LSE- and TSX-listed Endeavour Mining said on Monday that David Mimran had stepped down as director of the company.
He joined the Endeavour board following the company’s acquisition of Teranga Gold early last year.
Chairperson Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan said that, as part of its ongoing role, the corporate governance and nominations committee would continue to evaluate the board composition, taking into account the mix of skills and experience, diversity, and optimal size, to maintain high standards of corporate governance.
Following this announcement, Endeavour’s board would be composed of eight members, of which the following four members were considered independent: Alison Baker, Ian Cockerill (senior independent director), Livia Mahler and Tertius Zongo. Chair Venkatakrishnan was considered independent at the time of his appointment.
In addition, James Askew and Naguib Sawiris sit as nonexecutive directors, alongside Sébastien de Montessus as executive director, president and CEO.
