EMCSA 2023 partners with South Africa’s largest automotive marketplace for the most anticipated e-mobility conference
The E-Mobility Congress of South Africa is pleased to announce its partnership with AutoTrader for the 2023 conference, which will take place on the 18th – 19th of April 2023. South Africa’s No.1 trusted motoring marketplace is the two-day conference’s official Presenting Media Partner.
AutoTrader is South Africa’s largest automotive marketplace, which directly connects car buyers and sellers across the country. Their expertise in the automotive sector, as well as their massive consumer car shopping reach, will add significant value to the conference and aids in spreading the awareness of electric vehicles across South Africa.
“We are delighted that AutoTrader has partnered with the e-mobility conference. This enables us to continue broadening our influence across South Africa – inviting more people to take part in the electric vehicle conversation and be part of the solution to issues of carbon emissions,” said Robert Walker, Director of EMCSA.
AutoTrader will also collaborate with EMCSA on the conference’s PR Campaign called Bums in Seats, which aims to encourage people to consider and adopt electric vehicles by giving them an opportunity to sit in and test drive an electric vehicle during the conference. AutoTrader will be involved in this campaign on the build-up towards the conference.
“One of EMCSA’s goals is to make e-mobility information accessible to all, in order to help accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in South Africa. Meanwhile, AutoTrader has been closely monitoring the automotive market in the country including the growing demand of EVs. Our collective efforts towards the EV transition and information sharing confirmed this partnership. We look forward to a continued partnership with AutoTrader,” said Walker.
The EMCSA 2023 conference will host policy makers, academia, entrepreneurs, engineering and automotive bodies, development organisations and civil society in discussions that will inform the future of mobility in the country. The theme for this year’s conference is “South Africa, an EV Friendly Ecosystem”.
The agenda consists of topics including; fleet evolution, the link between industry and academia, unlocking opportunities for electric vehicle manufacturing in South Africa, an overview of effective policy measures for promoting EVs, development of infrastructure for an EV ecosystem, the role of power utilities in electro-mobility, skills development and training for the electric future, battery design and manufacturing, the rise of electric vehicles and the evolution of OEM supply chains, and many other insightful and engaging topics.
AutoTrader CEO, George Mienie, is among the list of speakers that will be sharing insights into the future of electric vehicles in the country at EMCSA 2023.
“As an industry, we are at a crossroad. As pioneers and drivers of change within the automotive industry, it’s vital to collaborate and work with industry stakeholders who are working towards the sustainability of the automotive industry. Our goal is to inspire, inform and educate South Africans and catalyse the change to electric vehicles,” said Mienie.
Registrations for speakers, delegates and exhibitors are open since the 29th of March 2022.
Sponsors are also invited to take part in the success of the event and form strategic partnerships to boost their brands exposure.
