Company Announcement - Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technology and services, has been named to the 2015 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices North America index. "We are honored to be named to the 2015 DJSI North America index, a highly regarded benchmark of sustainability leadership," said Ecolab Chairman and CEO Douglas M. Baker, Jr. "This recognition is a result of our associates' work every day to make the world cleaner, safer and healthier - within our own operations and by helping customers at more than one million locations meet their sustainability and operational goals."
The annual Dow Jones Sustainability Indices are based on a thorough analysis of corporate economic, environmental and social performance, assessing issues such as corporate governance, risk management, branding, climate change mitigation, supply chain standards and labor practices.
Launched in 1999, the DJSI track the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide. The indices serve as benchmarks for investors who integrate sustainability considerations into their portfolios, and provide an effective engagement platform for companies who want to adopt sustainable best practices. Previously, Ecolab was named to the 2012 DJSI World and North America Indices. For more information on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, visit www.sustainability-indices.com
