The Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) together with The University of New South Wales (UNSW) are gearing up for the International Future Mining Conference with a focus on ‘Future Mining, Building Tomorrow’.
Delivered online from 6 – 10 December 2021, the Future Mining program is set to inspire covering a range of topics relevant to tomorrow’s future including; future skills, smart data analysis, automation, robotics, AI and UAVs, energy efficiency to resource efficiency, hydrogen and renewables in mining and much more
As well as offering delegates the chance to take a deep dive into the future of mining, AusIMM’s Future Mining Conference also provides an opportunity for participants to join in the conversation with key industry experts. Future Mining will showcase presentations from leaders in research and technology including Rose Amal, Scientia Professor UNSW, Adrian Beer, CEO, METS Ignited, James Davison, General Manager Surface Mining and Technology, Rio Tinto, Peter Johnson, Chairman, Maptek, Kris Zacny, VP and Senior Research Scientist, Honeybee Robotics.
AusIMM CEO Stephen Durkin said that the mining sector was committed to a future focused perspective.
