Project Description
Delmas Coal is proposing to expand its current underground mining operation at the Delmas coal mine. It plans to include new coal reserves in the mining plan, which are located to the south and south-west of its current sections.
The expansion will increase the life-of-mine by 30 years.
In addition to the proposed mining expansion, Delmas Coal plans to remediate and upgrade the mine residue facility and the two pollution control dams at the North Shaft section of the mine.
