The federal permitting of the Crawford nickel project is continuing at a rapid pace, with the project now entering the second phase of the impact assessment process.

Canada Nickel Company has started the impact statement phase for the Crawford project under the Impact Assessment Act.

Located in a tier-one mining jurisdiction in Ontario, with optimal support infrastructure, the Crawford project is one of the biggest undeveloped, bulk tonnage nickel sulphide resources in the world. If brought into production, the project is expected to play an important role in expanding the available supply of battery-grade nickel.

Crawford project will have a mine ore production capacity of 275 000 t/d and a mill ore input capacity of 120 000 t/d. The project will operate for about 43 years.
