IntierraRMG, provider of the most complete global mining sector intelligence service, and Neftex Petroleum Consultants Ltd (“Neftex”), the leading supplier of global geoscience Earth Model products and services to the resource exploration industries, are pleased to announce a collaboration to integrate Neftex’s Earth Model coding and IntierraRMG’s mineral resource data to provide new mining insights, intelligence and value.

The partnership links fundamental geoscience information to mining data and allows for a spatial, temporal and tectonic perspective on current production figures. It will highlight companies with geologically-focused regional exploration strategies; uncover investment opportunities in new projects based on underlying geological criteria, and give greater insight into geologically analogous leases to highlight options for projects/portfolios.
Dr James Etienne, Head of Earth Model – Global Modules for Neftex stated; “Combining IntierraRMG’s exhaustive global data with our new global Earth Model coding allows rapid thematic analyses, and provides a unique and predictive framework to support future exploration and funding strategies.”
Neftex, established in 2001 and based in Oxfordshire UK, leads the world in developing an integrated Earth Model, primarily supporting the global oil industry, but more recently successfully applying this approach to the mineral exploration and finance sectors.

For 30 years, IntierraRMG has been the mining industry’s preferred source of digital data for exploration, mining and mineral economics. The company provides resource sector intelligence ranging from mining and mineral information, through to mine cash costs and M&A activity.
Peter Rossdeutscher, Managing Director of IntierraRMG summarised; “As exploration and extraction continue to become more difficult and expensive, innovation in mining activities has become critical. We are excited to be working with Neftex on this project which combines advanced modelling, rich data and applied science to increase exploration efficiency and success.”
The companies plan to present the proof of concept work for this collaboration to interested parties from November 2013.
