Conveyors and bulk materials handling equipment company Hapman has expanded its three-dimensional (3D) configurator to include its full line of vacuum conveyors and Helix flexible screw conveyors, in addition to its bulk bag unloader, which was launched in 2014.

The company’s free 3D configurator streamlines the process of design and selection of industrial equipment by enabling users to select equipment options and generate a 3D preview in real time.

“The 3D modelling tool has enhanced how we provide technical support to our customers during the equipment selection and purchasing process. Our goal is to create the best possible experience for customers. We continue to look for ways to improve how industrial bulk handling equipment purchases are made,” says Hapman VP Greg Patterson.

Hapman works with operators, purchasing personnel, planning engineers, and third-party design engineers to properly size and select equipment. The design tool allows users to create their own equipment by selecting options based on their application needs.

The equipment preview can be downloaded into a two-dimensional (2D) or 3D version of users’ configured equipment. Users can download their tailored equipment options in any one of the 150 2D and 3D software versions. This gives them the planning flexibility of the actual file drawing to place into a process flow diagram.
