SKF South Africa (Pty) Ltd  (0.11 MB)

One of the fastest growing Project Houses in South Africa recently placed their first power transmission order with SKF. Due to the ever increasing problem of inferior product fitment to equipment, the Project House is reluctant to have products in the plant that are not associated with a recognised brand name. With over 100 years’ experience, the SKF brand enjoys global recognition for superior quality and was already known to the customer. “So when we offered the customer a power transmission product at a competitive price and on-time delivery, the customer was satisfied with the brand of the items for his equipment,” says Frans Pienaar, SKF South Africa Product Manager – Power Transmission. This alliance with SKF is in line with the Project House’s business plan of associating themselves with recognised quality brands that will provide extended component life, increased reliability and reduced downtime. “The Project House is a longstanding SKF customer from a bearing and lubrication perspective and we are extremely pleased to now also be able to offer our customer another SKF core technology solution - power transmission,” concludes Pienaar.
