Company Announcement: SKF shopfloor awareness cards help keep energy and sustainability issues at the forefront
This article has been supplied.
Every experienced educator knows that periodic reinforcement of a lesson learned is important in order to maximize student retention. SKF Energy and Sustainabilty Shopfloor Awareness Cards give plant managers an easy and effective way to remind their workers about the importance of those subjects. “Many energy efficiency programs begin with the best intentions, but then quickly fizzle out because front line staff aren’t given the resources or basic information to keep the issues alive,” said Mike Roberts, Program Manager at SKF for Energy & Sustainability Management. “With SKF Energy and Sustainability Awareness Cards, front line managers can engage with their teams in a discussion about energy and sustainability in a manner that encourages feedback and discussion about ideas for savings every time they meet.”
Many companies already begin workshifts or other meetings with a quick reminder of the importance of safety in the workplace. The Shopfloor Awareness Cards enable every meeting to have an “energy minute” as part of that discussion. The cards are designed to present specific energy and sustainability topics in nontechnical terms that make the issues understandable and approachable by operating staff. While the Shopfloor Awareness Cards are not meant to replace a comprehensive training program, they do offer an easy, convenient way to keep energy and sustainability issues in front of all employees on a regular basis.
