Kaboko Mining Limited  (0.69 MB)

Zambian focused manganese company Kaboko Mining Limited is pleased to advise that the Company has purchased a processing plant which will be used to crush and process the ore from Kaboko’s northern Zambian manganese project at Mansa. The modular processing plant is a semi-mobile, three stage plant with the mobile jaw crusher to be used on site to reduce the size of ore extracted. The secondary jaw crusher and cone crusher, being the third component, will be installed at the Company’s railing siding near Serenje, Zambia by end of Q2, 2013. Following initial crushing on site ore from the Mansa Project will be trucked to the rail siding for further crushing and processing before being sent to port via rail. The plant is capable of taking raw manganese ore at a feed size of 300mm at a rate of 80-100tph to produce a crushed ore size of 20mm.

Mine development has commenced on site at the Mansa Project with the mobilisation of personnel and equipment as well as completing infrastructure construction and installation including repairing the local access bridge damaged during the wet season. The Company is currently developing the mine plan for the Mansa Project with a scoping study being prepared by an independent consultant, Minxcon, which is anticipated to be completed early Q2 2013. The Company then intends to undertake a further exploration program to drill 24 holes (1,200m) targeting extension of the existing mineralisation zone in Q2 2013 following which Minxcon will prepare a resource statement in accordance with the JORC Code.
