Maxwell GeoServices, a global provider of data management software for the mining and exploration sector, announced the release of LogChief 3.0. “We’ve been examining the industry over the last few years, and identified data capture as a priority for improvement and a market where we can focus our efforts,” said Viv Preston, Director and driving force behind Maxwell. “All too often, data capture in exploration and mining is not taken seriously, which leads to issues with data quality and integrity, and increases administration costs as companies manage the downstream impact of poor data collection.” Maxwell GeoServices’ new offering, LogChief 3.0, improves data capture discipline in the field, adds flexibility with split screen views, customised workflows and user profiles, and introduces the ability to visualise data in a cloud environment, as well as a complete suite of plug-in applications new to this version of LogChief.

Maxwell’s Data Capture Suite includes the following optional applications:

CoreShed – management and visualisation of core photography
XRF – geological data streamed seamlessly to database
LooK – spatial viewing integrated with database
SQL Reports – built in or customised reporting
WebShed – cloud-based access to data

These plug-in applications add functionality on demand, making LogChief 3.0 a scalable solution for companies of all sizes.
