Company Announcement: IntierraRMG and WBMS combine to market industry analysis and reporting
IntierraRMG and World Bureau of Metal Statistics have joined forces to promote the highly respected WBMS reports. These reports complement IntierraRMG’s already well-known stable of industry reports and databases. Launched in 1947, WBMS concentrated initially on the metals trade within the then British Empire. With the contraction of the Empire, it switched focus to the world stage and began collecting and collating data from a huge number of global sources. More than half a century later, its massive and regularly updated database forms the basis of printed and electronic publications aimed at the many and varied users of metal statistics. Peter Rossdeutscher, IntierraRMG’s Managing Director, said; “World Bureau of Metal Statistics is known by almost everybody involved with the global metals industry. Its publications provide reliable, valuable information that provide organisations with real market insight.”
The WBMS publications being provided through IntierraRMG include; the monthly World Metal Statistics and Yearbook, Metallstatistik (2001 – 2011), and quarterly Stainless Steel Statistics. The monthly World Metal Statistics report contains comprehensive up-to-date details of production, consumption and trade of the major non-ferrous metals (Aluminium, Antimony, Cadmium, Copper, Gold, Lead, Molybdenum, Nickel, Silver, Tin and Zinc). Metallstatistik (2001-2011) incorporates some 500 pages of statistics, and contains authoritative data for all the major non-ferrous metals, together with production and consumption data for some minor metals. This detailed information is available for the past 11 years, with production data since 1900. Summarising the new inter-company relationship, Sue Eales, WBMS Managing Director stated; “WBMS remains a wholly independent and unaffiliated organisation; trusted throughout the global industry. We are delighted to be partnering with IntierraRMG in this exciting opportunity.”
