Commercial Drones, a DJI Enterprise dealer, is pleased to announce that the first M300 aircraft are now flying commercially in South Africa.

Working with Drone Ops, a SACAA accredited ROC holder, they have successfully licensed the first-in-type DJI Matrice 300 RTK. This means that Drone Ops is the FIRST company in South Africa to operationalise DJI’s new Matrice 300RTK. There is such confidence in the capability of the M300, that Drone Ops has added an additional 16 units of the M300 RTK aircraft to their fleet.

The registration of the M300 RTK was quite an extensive process which included: obtaining airworthiness, the first-in-type system safety approval, and the RLA process which took more than 3-months to complete. That said, Drone Ops is thrilled to finally have this incredible technology available for commercial use in South Africa.

Drone Ops has selected the M300 RTK as the workhorse of their fleet because it is the GAME CHANGER. The DJI M300 RTK is tougher, safer, and more rugged than any drone in its class, and offers exceptional endurance and range. With an increased Ingress Rating, it means that teams are able to operate in inclement weather conditions. A maximum flight time of 55-minutes with hot swop capabilities, give the security user the capability to maintain almost continuous operational capability. The M300 payloads, namely the Zenmuse H20 and H20T are the best available optical payloads in the market to date.

DJI worked alongside Commercial Drones to ensure a swift regulation process and we are excited by what this partnership has to offer in the future.

Sean Reitz, Accountable Manager for Drone Ops said “the DJI M300 RTK is an indispensable part of our team, giving Drone Ops clients’ better data, allowing for more effective decision-making, completing critical operations and missions faster and more effectively than ever before”.

As Commercial Drones, we look forward to further supporting Drone Ops along with our many other Commercial clients to build their new fleets of M300 RTKs.

Technical and training support is now available through our in-house team of DJI-certified technicians. The technical team recently completed their certified DJI training on the M300 range and are ready to serve the tailored needs of Enterprise clients.
