The soft launch of the nation’s first Engineering Exhibition and Conference – ENGINEER 2020, witnessed the inking of a Letter of Collaboration between its joint organisers - business and lifestyle exhibition organiser C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd (C.I.S) and Malaysia’s largest professional organisation for the engineering fraternity – the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM).

The inaugural trade exhibition - to be held for four consecutive days from 23-26 September 2020 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, is also the first engineering convention and exhibition, held under the umbrella of the annual IEM Convention 2020. It aims to provide engineering professionals from Malaysia and across the region with the latest in-house manufacturing and design solutions, alongside cutting-edge solutions and advanced engineering technologies by international leading manufacturers.

Additionally, the Letter of Collaboration inked between C.I.S and IEM forged their collaborative efforts in convening the multi-discipline industry and promoting the advancement of the Engineering industry through ENGINEER 2020, in line with Malaysia’s national agenda of achieving a GDP Contribution target of RM381.7 billion by the Year 2023 for key engineering sectors.

President of C.I.S – an established business and lifestyle exhibitions organiser, Dato’ Vincent Lim said: “With the Soft Launch of ENGINEER 2020, C.I.S remains committed towards continuously creating high powered, multi-pronged exhibitions and events such as our ARCHIDEX, RiX and HOMEDEC which are targeted at both industry players and Malaysians and the regional visitors. We also believe in introducing strategic platforms and partnerships towards one core objective -- that is to build both the industry and provide value to stakeholders as part of our efforts to contribute to Malaysia’s economic growth.”

IEM President Ir David Lai Kong Phooi says: “We are proud that ENGINEER 2020 will be a key event under the umbrella of the annual IEM Convention. The inaugural platform will witness various engineering disciplines consisting of the main Civil, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines consisting of the main Civil, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines showcasing the best and innovative solutions, products and new technologies.”

ENGINEER 2020 - held concurrently with the inaugural IEM Convention, is expected to draw all of IEM members for a truly participative event towards enhancing the close partnership and relationship they share with key suppliers.

Expected to be the premier engineering business event in South East Asia, the event will comprehensively consists of a multiple-agenda that features the ENGINEER 2020 Exhibition; a series of Industry Meetings; Symposiums; Workshops and Forums; the Industry Friendship Night & Networking cocktails; Business Matching opportunities; Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours; a Gala Dinner; and an Awards’ Presentation ceremony that features notable names in the industry and Government leadership.
