East African gold producer Caracal Gold intends to list on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) before the end of the second quarter by introducing its shares to the Growth Enterprise Market Segment (Gems) of the exchange.

If successful, the listing on the NSE will make Caracal the first gold and related minerals mining company to be listed on the exchange. The company is also listed on the LSE.

Caracal believes the NSE listing will provide Kenyan investors the opportunity to participate in the future growth of Caracal and its activities in Kenya’s mining sector.

To date, Caracal, with investment banks Faida and VSA as advisers, has made progress with the pre-listing requirements, with the only pending item being the updating of the latest consolidated accounts for Caracal.

Following the NSE listing, Caracal plans to host a breakfast introduction for high-net-
worth individuals and asset managers in Nairobi, as well as a planned visit to tour the Kilimapesa mining site in Narok county.
