Shareholders of TSX- and JSE-listed Buffalo Coal have approved the special resolutions that will allow the company to delist and go private.

The effective date for the transitional transaction is April 20, whereafter the company’s common shares will be delisted from trading on the TSX on April 21 and on the JSE-managed AltX on April 28.

Payment for the post-consolidation fractional shares, other than those held by mining company Belvedere Resources, will be distributed to shareholders on the TSX Venture exchange

Buffalo holds a majority interest in two operating coal mines in South Africa.
