Wacker Neuson, global specialist in light and compact equipment design, manufacture and supply, proudly introduces the new MCT36-5 M Series walk-behind concrete trowel to the southern African market.

Equipped with everything that is needed to deliver superior concrete finishing results, this machine is affordable and easy to operate and maintain, delivering prolonged uptime and lowest total cost of ownership for end-users.

“This rugged and robust concrete specialist which complements our existing range of walk-behind trowels is exactly what the local construction industry and concrete contractors have been waiting for,” says Dennis Vietze, Managing Director of Wacker Neuson Sub-Saharan Africa.

“Most industries are under constant pressure to reduce input costs while increasing output and the construction industry is certainly no different. We listened to what our customers wanted and, with our over 60 years of experience as a market leader in concrete finishing, we responded with the MCT36-5. A perfect fit for Africa’s tough construction industry, this machine has been built to last, capable of performing optimally and reliably over a long life cycle, no matter how tough the conditions.”

With a 915mm trowelling diameter, the machine is ideal for finishing of domestic and industrial concrete floors for areas smaller than 500sqm and can be easily maneuvered around obstructions and bordering areas.

Powered by a reliable 4.1kW four-stroke petrol engine, the concrete trowel is optimally balanced for effortless control at variable speed ranges. The throttle control is located on the handle for easy adjustment of the blade speed - lower speeds for floating and higher speeds for finishing or polishing.

Always keeping operator comfort and safety top of mind, the MCT36-5 is equipped with a height adjustable ‘whale tail’ trowel handle. An integrated lift point facilitates safe maneuvering around the job site. The centrifugal engine shut off (emergency shutdown) and robust blade guard offer further protection to the operator and other personnel on the job site.

Wacker Neuson will roll out the MCT36-5 to its extensive southern African dealer network. “Ensuring that customers have access to our complete product and service portfolio is of the utmost importance to us and here our dealers, as the face of our brand, are critical,” notes Vietze. “Consequently, we continue our strong focus on strengthening existing dealer relationships and expanding our dealership network.”

Wacker Neuson’s comprehensive concrete technology portfolio also includes internal and external vibrators, frequency convertors and rebar tiers.
