Basil Read Promotes Mr Bruce Morton To The Role Of Executive Director: Construction

Basil Read Holdings Limited, the JSE-listed construction, mining, development and engineering group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Bruce Morton to the role of Executive Director: Construction with effect from 1 February 2014. In his new role Bruce will assume executive control of the various construction companies forming part of the Construction portfolio within the Group and will report directly to the CEO.
Bruce joined Basil Read in February 2013 as Strategic Commercial Director: Special Projects and Construction to bolster the technical and construction management competencies of Basil Read. Bruce was previously employed at the global engineering group Aurecon as Global Airport Leader, where he was responsible for the delivery of airport infrastructure projects worldwide.
Bruce holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and two Masters Degrees in Transportation and Pavement Engineering. He is a transportation and engineering specialist with extensive experience in the design and construction of transport infrastructure across the African continent having delivered multidisciplinary projects for a number of the major South African infrastructure providers including SANRAL, Transnet and ACSA.
