- The BASF DryFast Beamhouse System takes advantage of today’s technological innovation to provide sustainable solutions in leather production.
This year, BASF will be presented by its Performance Materials, Leather and Textile Chemicals business units at the All Africa Leather Fair (AALF) 2017 in Ethiopia, also known as the ultimate showcase of new chemical advances. The company’s experts invite all visitors to come to the BASF stand and discuss BASF’s Elastopan® PU systems, Elastollan® TPU innovations as well as the DryFast Beamhouse System solutions for the shoe industry.
Integrating Our Solutions for a Sustainable Future
Elastopan® is a multi-component polyurethane (foam) system for the production of mid-, out- and insoles. It offers high-performance and innovative solutions for producers of casual shoes, safety shoes and sport shoes. Elastopan® products provide a virtually unlimited freedom in terms of design, color and texture, simple handling and processing paired with excellent physical properties like flexibility, abrasion and hydrolysis resistance, durability and low mass.
Elastollan® means variety.
Besides the excellent properties, such as mechanical strength, resistance to abrasion, slip resistance or the broad range of possible degrees of hardness, Elastollan® is primarily suitable for the footwear industry due to its enormous design freedom. The product range includes options from transparent, to translucent, to black and offers freedom in color and shape of the sole. Elastollan® adheres to Elastopan® PU systems, which offer designers and outstanding combination of comfort and fashion.
The BASF DryFast Beamhouse System takes advantage of today’s technological innovations to provide greater efficiency, lower costs and promote environmental solutions ins leather production. The System helps to address current and future market challenges through efficient water management, and places an emphasis on the following sustainable footprints: Water Footprint, Tox Footprint, Resource Footprint and Carbon Footprint.
At BASF, we recognize the importance of driving sustainable solutions that go beyond meeting today’s increasingly stringent legislative requirements so as to protect and provide resources for future generations. Due to these demands, we go the extra mile to offer our customers integrated solutions that build upon the strengths of different business units to bring greater competitive advantages and cost savings.
