Company Announcement - The Australian Department of Defence and its fleet leasing company has chosen Australian company Couplertec, the manufacturer of the internationally acclaimed Electronic Rust Proofing Systems, to protect the latest fleet of trucks to be engaged in defence roles. With increasing pressure on budgets and defence spending, it has been determined that ensuring every DOD motor vehicle’s lifespan is optimized. This is a vital initiative that will help ensure cost savings by ensuring the vehicles remain in service longer.

One of these important initiatives is the addition of the innovative Australian technology manufactured and produced by wholly owned Australian company Couplertec. This internationally patented, unique capacitive coupling method of rust proofing, has been declared as the only technology that has been tried, tested and proven to work on stopping or at the very least slowing rust and corrosion.

The company produces a range of electronic rust proofing systems predominantly used by four wheel drive enthusiasts throughout Australia and the world, that ensures rust and corrosion does not take hold when vehicles are subjected to highly corrosive environs such as beach driving and harsh mineral rich off road terrains.

Couplertec General Manager Mr. Grant Taylor was obviously thrilled that Couplertec has been selected as a premium supplier of technology to help preserve and extend the lives of these military vehicles and stated  “Couplertec manufactures electronic rust proofing systems for cars, trucks, buses, 4WD vehicles and all kinds of heavy machinery, but to be selected to protect Australian military defence vehicles is a wonderful honour”.

Mr. Taylor added, “the sales of our Couplertec mine spec systems have slowed dramatically during the mining slow down, however the sales of our commercial systems that protect larger vehicles such as trucks, buses and heavy machinery is increasing very well, both here in Australia and also overseas – especially in North and South America and Europe”.

Founded in 1996, Couplertec is a wholly Australian owned company with its international head office located at Burleigh on Queensland’s Gold Coast
