Following the completion of all smelting operations for November, Scandinavia-headquartered and Ethiopia-focused gold exploration and mining company Akobo Minerals has reported final gold production of 10 kg for the month, surpassing the earlier estimate of 8 kg.

Combined with October's production of 2.8 kg, total gold production for the past two months is 12.8 kg.

The first gold bar, weighing 1.4 kg, was sold to the National Bank of Ethiopia in exchange for local currency at a value of about $2 500/oz.

Akobo says November's production successfully exceeded expectations and covered all operational expenses for the month.

Additionally, the company notes that first raise blasting was completed and stoping activities have started, allowing access to higher-grade orezones.
