African Utility Week promises to deliver even more after coveted EXSA award
African Utility Week event director Russell Hughes has promised that “more is to come” after the largest power and water utility gathering of its kind on the continent won the coveted EXSA award for the Best Trade & Consumer Exhibition in its respective category. The annual Exhibition and Event Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) industry awards are considered the most prestigious in the industry. African Utility Week & Clean Power Africa, is organised by Cape Town-based Spintelligent.
Says an enthused Russell Hughes: “more than 5000 utility professionals attended African Utility Week this year which meant a 38% growth in attendance and proves that our dream team delivered a truly remarkable event. However, there is a lot more to come from this inspirational and achieving team. More than ever we are working with the industry to deliver relevant content for the industry, including the Utility CEO Forum that was introduced this year and next year will bring together 20 utility CEOs from across Africa to discuss the future of the energy market. We will also offer more free technical training workshops in association with the South African Institute Of Electrical Engineers www.saiee.org.za and we are partnering with the Southern African Asset Management Association who are organising their inaugural Asset Management Conference during African Utility Week!”
The next African Utility Week & Clean Power Africa is taking place at the CTICC in Cape Town, from 13-14 May 2014 and is attended by more than 5000 power and water professionals from more than 30 African countries and 70 worldwide.
