ASX-listed Predictive Discovery has informed shareholders that a prefeasibility study on the Bankan gold project, in Guinea, will be published in mid-April, which is later than the initially envisioned first quarter of the year.

The project constitutes one of the most significant gold discoveries in West Africa, with a resource of more than four-million ounces.

It is based in the Sigruiri Basin, which is, in turn, part of the West African Birimian gold belt.

The Tier 1 openpit gold asset that Predictive plans to develop will likely be the biggest gold mine in Guinea once completed, the company states.

Predictive also has a number of other projects located in the Siguiri Basin that are prospective for gold, including the Koundian project, which is being explored through a regional exploration campaign.
