PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold production from the Norseman gold mine, in Western Australia, increased by 27% during the September quarter, compared with the June quarter.

Owner Pantoro said on Thursday that gold production from Norseman had increased to 13 168 oz during the three months to September as mill feed grades continued to improve, with 5 352 oz produced during the month of September.

“It is pleasing to see the Norseman gold project continuing to improve with regard to mined grades and production rates. The project has a great runway in front of it and all of our employees and contractors continue to work together to maximise outcomes from the mine,” said Pantoro MD Paul Cmrlec.

“The operation is in the best position that it has seen since recommencement of production and we look forward to continued improvement to nameplate production levels.”

Pantoro earlier this year took full ownership of the Norseman gold mine after completing a merger with fellow listed Tulla Resources.
