PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Copper miner Oz Minerals has added to its executive team, recruiting senior executives as part of its relocation plans to Adelaide.

Oz Minerals previously announced plans to save some A$44-million in cost from a roll-out of strategic changes, which included the divestment of Oz Minerals’ Sandfire Resources stake, the restructuring and relocation of its corporate offices, initiatives to enhance the Carrapateena resource, in South Australia, and the suspension of the Carrapateena sales process.

The company subsequently also undertook a three-month whole-of-company review, which resulted in Oz Minerals taking the decision to implement a company-wide restructure to create a decentralised business, with a corporate division focusing on strategy execution and an assets division focusing on operational delivery.

The miner on Wednesday announced the appointment of three new candidates to its Adelaide offices, including Luke Anderson as the new CFO, Damon Hunt as the head of corporate affairs, and Mark Rankmore as the head of human resources.

Anderson, who has extensive financial and development experience in the mining industry, would join Oz Minerals from Unimin Corporation, in the US.

Hunt was currently group executive of public affairs for Australian major Santos, while Rankmore has held a number of human resources roles within the industry, including with Forge Group, UGL and Asciano.
