TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Vancouver-based Nevada Copper expects to complete a feasibility study on its Pumpkin Hollow project in Nevada by the end of June, and has hired Merit Consultants International to help prepare for the start of construction, the company said on Thursday.

Merit will focus on the preparations for shaft sinking and headframe construction at the project, with the aim of being ready to begin work as soon as possible.

The company will also review the feasibility study capital cost estimates and develop a detailed project implementation timeline, including key milestones, Nevada Copper said.

Shares in Nevada Copper declined 0,5% on Thursday, to C$5,72 apiece by 13:02 in Toronto.

The company said on April 4 it had received all the permits needed for underground development at Pumpkin Hollow.

The project has measured and indicated resources of 5,9-billion pounds of copper at a 0,2% cut-off, plus 3,7-billion pounds in the inferred category. It also contains gold and silver.
