Malawi’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism is inviting bids for the digitisation of old records and the supply and installation of an e-permit issuance system at the Department of Immigration.

The project will be financed by a pool of donors, including the World Bank, the European Union, the Norwegian government, Irish Aid, the Finnish International Cooperation Agency and the US Agency for International Development.

“Bidding will be conducted [in accordance with] international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s guidelines for the procurement of goods, works and nonconsulting services,” the Ministry says in a statement.

Interested bidders may obtain further information from, or inspect bid documents at, the Ministry’s offices in Lilongwe.

The deadline for the submission of bids is January 6, 2017. The bids must be accompanied by a bid security fee of $50 000 or a guarantee from a reputable banking institution.
