JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – AltX- and Aim-listed Jubilee Platinum has increased the chrome processing capability of its Dilokong chrome mine (ASA project) beyond its design capacity.

In an update to the market on Thursday, CEO Leon Coetzer said the ASA project was currently processing feed at 60 t/h, significantly above the design capacity of 44 t/h.

“I am very pleased with the commissioning and ramp-up of our ASA tailings project. The increased throughput reflects the experience and training of our project and operational team and I look forward to even more increases,” he said.

This followed the secured access to an additional 50 000 t/m processing capability at the ASA project, increasing the overall processing potential to 75 000 t/m.

“The additional processing capacity provides scope for importation of third-party material, which should enhance overall financial results,” he added.

Further, some 1 000 t of saleable chrome concentrate was ready for shipment.
