Eurasia’s West Kytlim fully operational

The West Kytlim alluvial platinum mine, in the Ural mountains of Russia, is fully operational and is producing an average of 1.8 kg a day of raw platinum, Aim-listed Eurasia Mining reported on Wednesday.

In the first two weeks of production, the mine produced 11.8 kg at a suggested average grade of about 771 mg/m3.

The washplant has achieved design capacity of 130 m3/h over a minimum of an 18-hour day.

Eurasia said that it had started shipments of raw platinum nuggets from the mine to privately-owned Ekaterinburg refinery.

“We are delighted at the continued progress made at our West Kytlim mine and indeed it is very satisfying to achieve full operational capacity. Techstroy continue to meet our high expectations this year and we have excellent working relations now established,” executive chairperson Christian Schaffalitzky commented.

Eurasia appointed Techstroy as its new contractor for the 2018 mining season.
