TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – TSX- and ASX-listed Endeavour Mining, which is focused on producing gold from its four mines in West Africa, this week reported for the three months ended June 30 its highest output ever, with each of its mines either achieving or exceeding key operating parameters.

The Canadian miner on Tuesday reported output of 122 517 oz during the second quarter and half-year output of 228 429 oz of the yellow metal.

"Agbaou, in Côte d'Ivoire, and Nzema, in Ghana, are performing above expectations and Tabakoto, in Mali, is now positioned to have a strong second half in 2014 as we are ramping up ore production from the new Segala underground mine [which forms part of the Tabakoto gold mine, in Mali],” said Endeavour CEO Neil Woodyer.

The company said it was confident that with the solid performance from its mines so far this year, it would top the upper end of its 400 000-oz to 440 000-oz full-year production guidance.

Cash cost and all-in sustaining costs (AICS) an ounce would be announced when Endeavour reported its second-quarter financial results due to be released in August. The company expected that the AISC an ounce for the second quarter to be better than the $1 059/oz in the March quarter.
