SkillsDMC  (0.03 MB)

Skilled workforces and training strategies are the key to successful commercial development for operating companies, training organisations and governments working in a challenging market such as the global resources and civil construction sectors.

With over two decades of experience in the Australian workforce development market, SkillsDMC is bringing Australian best-practice to international organisations. We are a boutique consulting firm with expertise in workforce analysis and the development of sustainable skills that meet the needs of industry.

Our global activity centres on three main areas:
• Technical partnership in capacity building projects worldwide:
This year saw us complete a capacity building project in Mozambique. Our role was to support the local vocational education and training regulator to develop Industry-determined competency standards and engage directly with Industry as the key stakeholder in the system.
Developing industry engagement strategies formed the crux of the project, and has had measurable success. Our partner organisation has begun applying the Industry engagement methodology we helped develop to other relevant industries in Mozambique.
A similar capacity building project is currently underway in Zambia, and is due for completion later this year.

• At the request of our stakeholders we have developed SkillsMAXsolution, an innovative on-line competency management platform which provides operating companies across the world access to high quality international standards and verification of competency development tools. These tools can be applied to ensure current and future workers  are adequately skilled and perform safely and effectively on site. The platform simplifies the workforce management process and is specifically designed for companies operating in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries.

• The development of learning and assessment programs to train new or existing workers in the resources and infrastructure sectors.

Our goal is to support Industry as it develops robust strategies for accessing a sustainable pipeline of skilled workers. This will ensure competency, efficiency and safety on site.
