Automotive components supplier CRH-Africa and subsidiary company Adient-PPC are industry-leaders in metals technologies and manufacturing for the automotive industry, offering global customer service excellence. 

Industry leader CRH-Africa supplies world-class metal pressed components, welded and riveted assemblies. 

Adient-PPC is an industry expert in metal seat structures, tube bending and various welding methods including laser welding. Adient-PPC is also part of Adient, a market leader in complete seat systems, serving every major automaker around the globe. 

CRH-Africa and Adient-PPC are proud B-BBEE level 2 contributors with 51% black shareholding.

CRH-Africa 

CRH-Africa has been serving the automotive industry with distinction for 59 years.

The company has long been a leading supplier known for its complete product development process, materials engineering, tooling / manufacturing expertise and capability to produce value-added metal pressed components and assemblies, which are supplied locally and exported to Germany, the US, Brazil, Mexico and the Czech Republic. 

CRH-Africa was founded in 1964 and the current plant in Gqeberha has grown to 17 000 m2. CRH-Africa is accredited to the IATF16949 quality management system (QMS) and ISO140001 international standards and supports major Tier 1 and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers.

Key technologies employed by CRH include:

  • Metal pressing of stainless steel and mild steel
  • In-house tool room, including design capability
  • Progression tooling manufacture
  • Component assembly by welding (MIG/MAG/SPOT/CD)
  • Component assembly by riveting
  • CNC machining
  • Full metrology including scanning

Adient-PPC

Adient-PPC is an automotive industry leader and expert with a reputation for innovation and engineering excellence. The Adient-PPC plant assembles over 450 000 full metal seat structures for Tier 1 seat assemblers as well as exporting directly to Argentina. The company employs the latest technologies, such as laser welding, and the seat structure assembly lines include full error proofing of these safety-critical structures. 

Adient-PPC has been in operation since 2016 and the current plant in Gqeberha has expanded to 16 000 m2. Adient-PPC is accredited to the IATF16949 QMS and ISO140001 international standards and supports major Tier 1 and OEM platforms.

Adient-PPC’s core competencies are its robotic welding of seat structures, laser welding systems and tube bending stations with in-house E-coating capabilities.
