JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) − Platinum miner Anooraq has resumed operations at its Bokoni mine’s Middelpunt Hill UG2 shaft, following a fatal accident on November 18.

A total of seven operating shifts were lost at the shaft during the safety stoppage, resulting in a production loss of 1 500 oz of platinum group metals, the JSE-listed miner said in a statement on Monday.

The Bokoni mine is located on the eastern limb of South Africa’s Bushveld complex.
