Bidvest International Logistics (BIL) has won the PMR Diamond Award for the third consecutive year, and for the seventh time in the past ten years.

The PMR Diamond Award was awarded following an industry survey undertaken by consultancy and research company PMR late in 2019.

“We are absolutely delighted with receiving this award again, because it demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering the best value we can offer our clients. It speaks to our ability to deliver their cargo in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible,” says BIL business development director Maria Du Preez.

PMR Africa’s yearly awards, for which 150 South African exporters and importers are nominated and rated by respondents against specific attributes and criteria, aim to recognise professional excellence across a variety of sectors, including freight forwarding.

The criteria include black economic empowerment; relationships with agents; predictability of deliveries; proactive communication with agents; problem solving; reliability; brand reputation; risk management; track and trace; and value for money.

The awards also highlight the values and resonance which exist in an award entrant’s corporate vision, company values, competence, integrity and its ability to empathise, which, in turn, creates a level of sustainable, ethical business practice.
