Select PPE, a multi-brand service provider of customised, on-site personal protective equipment (PPE) solutions in sub-Saharan Africa, will be showcasing its latest range of PPE solutions at this year’s Electra Mining Africa show.

Select PPE provides customers with partnership-based management solutions for the procurement and individually-recorded issue of PPE to South Africa’s core industries, including mining, oil and gas, petrochemicals, manufacturing, agricultural and construction for both male and female employees.

“We ensure that the everyday protection of workers is fully under control, by only issuing equipment that has full compliance with the appropriate regulations, and offering an automated approach to PPE issue that can detect improper or inadequate PPE usage,” says Select PPE sales director Dries van Tonder.

“Electra Mining Africa is a great way for us to showcase the latest innovations in PPE, and also to demonstrate to customers how we can manage their entire PPE process on-site, from sourcing, issuing and controlling multi-leading brands to tracking individual usage.”

Select PPE simplifies the procurement and logistics of issuing PPE with a sophisticated information technology system that provides real-time information on all PPE usage, and is able to store historical data in various formats, depending on a customer’s unique requirements. This system enables customers to exercise complete control over their PPE and better manage their budgets.

“We are also one of only a handful of suppliers of female PPE, providing specialised, correctly-fitted equipment and clothing to female site employees,” adds Van Tonder.

Select PPE has been protecting people in mining, oil and gas and manufacturing for over 16 years, and with over 180 on-site stores already located at key mines across South Africa and Zambia, the company has the capacity to optimise the managerial functions of PPE dispersal in any industry.
